Bobcat Track Video

This fine example of a bobcat track shows all the details. Clearly imprinted in the moist sand are the four toes, the distinctive heel pad, the dewclaw, and the carpal pad. This beautiful bobcat track will help you learn what characteristics distinguish bobcat tracks from those of dogs and other common animals.

This print was made by the left front foot. You can clearly see the dewclaw imprint. Also, the carpal pad, which is a sixth pad sitting high up on the "wrist" shows very clearly in this pawprint. There is even one tiny claw mark, not often found in bobcat tracks.

The video explains how to tell the left from the right track. It also explains how to tell the front from the hind track.
