How to Read Sign in Grass

This video clip shows you some types of sign that you may find if you were to track a person through grass. sign is any clue to the passage of an animal or human. sign can include tracks, bent branches, fur snagged on twigs, broken sticks, rolled rocks, bruised leaves, and much more. Some of these signs are pointed out in this video. The more time you spend looking at tracks and sign, the easier it will become for you to recognize those signs the next time you find them when you are out tracking. Trackers call their practice time "dirt time" and it really is worthwhile to get in as much dirt time as you can. It requires a lot of patience to become a tracker. In a way, tracking is like a martial art. It demands discipline, practice, study, and brings an increase in your confidence level. It's a lifetime study. So practice, practice, practice. It's the best way to gain skill as a tracker.
