| I watched the bird who left these tracks behind. Dippers do come to shore. They forage in the water, or on the banks, and even on objects in the water. They can go under the water too! |

| A freshly deposited dipper scat. I saw the bird drop this scat and went over to take the photo. This scat is only moments old. It was deposited right on the edge of the river, so it eventually washed away due to wind and wave action. The white material is uric acid. |
